Allison Backous holds an MFA from Seattle Pacific University, and has been published in Image, Comment, Books and Culture, and the St. Katherine's Review. She is the creative writing editor for The Other Journal, and teaches writing at Kuyper College.
It might really be that the wedding day, as a blessing, is a chance to bless the ones you love with what you can give, but we are being asked to give more than a party.
